Dr. Max Moore

Nicholas (Max) Moore, M.D. is an Interventional Radiologist who joined Commonwealth Radiology, P.C in July 2025. A native of central Virginia, Dr. Moore grew up in Prince George County and has called Richmond home for over 15 years. He is proud to care for patients in the communities where he was raised. He completed his integrated Interventional and Diagnostic Radiology residency at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System (Medical College of Virginia), where he also earned his medical degree.

Dr. Moore’s clinical interests span a wide range of minimally invasive image-guided therapies, including uterine fibroid and prostate artery embolization, kyphoplasty and pain management, venous disease treatments for varicose veins and thrombosis, and interventional oncology such as radio-embolization, chemo-embolization, and ablation. He also performs hepatobiliary and renal interventions, and has advanced training in managing pulmonary embolism, transplant interventions, and traumatic injuries.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Moore enjoys spending time with his wife and son, traveling, and staying active through sports of all kinds.
